Much has been written about the whole Kelly Clarkson airbrushing fiasco and I really don’t have much to say that hasn’t already been said about this ridiculous situation, but I had to make one point.
Here’s the fabulous, talented, lovely Kelly Clarkson:
and here:
And here’s the woman who stands by the decision to airbrush Kelly, thereby telling all of us, that we’re just not good enough, Lucy Danziger:
Who would you rather look like?
‘Nuff said.
American Idol Results

The Final Twelve
Well, I never thought we’d make it this far, but the DVR seems to be over its temper tantrum and we’re finally down to 12. Here’s my take, let me know what you think!
I should have expected the Michael Jackson song book, with him being all over the news, with his “comeback”… Interesting though, that he’s the only artist who doesn’t have to show up for his songbook week.
First up was Lil. I love lil. I didn’t love her choice of “The Way You Make Me Feel”, but I still think she’s terrific.
Next was Scott. I love that he was behind the keyboard again, that’s really where he shines - I didn’t know the song and I didn’t love it. But again, I’m really fond of Scott.
Danny. Oh Danny. I love him. I thought his arrangement of “PYT” was interesting and I thought he did a great job.
Michael is a cutie too - Nice voice, nice rendition of “You Are Not Alone”. Cute.
Jasmine is another one that I love. I love “I’ll be There” and I think again she’s beautiful, has a great voice, is mature for her age - definitely one to watch. That being said, I didn’t love the arrangement and I hated the end.
Kris. I don’t even remember him. I’m not that thrilled.
Allison. Again, I don’t remember ever seeing her before. Must have been when the DVR freaked out. I didn’t know the song, but I thought she had a really good voice.
Anoop. I love the idea of Anoop. I really want to like him. I think he has a nice voice, but I hated his rendition of “Beat It”.
Jorge. Another one that I really want to love. I love “Never Can Say Goodbye”, but I really wished that I had loved his performance. The beginning was scary… it got better, but I didn’t love it.
Megan is one of my favorites. She’s beautiful and interesting and original. She reminds me of Edie Brickell (You know, Carrie Fisher’s exhusband’s wife) I was a little concerned when I realized what her song choice was, but I think she totally rocked Rockin’ Robin. She’s terrific.
Adam. I don’t get why everyone falls all over themselves for Adam. I didn’t love his performance and I don’t really like him.
Matt. I thought his “Human Nature” was terrific. I loved the whole performance and I totally agree with Randy, that he’s Robin Thicke-ish.
Alexis. A little bit over the top, but she can certainly sing.
Over all, I think this is going to be a great season. Who do I think are the two that are going home? Kris and Anoop. We’ll see how wrong I am tonight.
Who do you think is going home?
American Idol Hollywood Week
I’m really starting to think that American Idol needs to start doing psychological screening on the contestants, but then again it probably wouldn’t be anywhere near as much fun, would it? And if they started screening the contestants then they’d probably screen the judges and then there just wouldn’t be a show anymore, would there?

Group Night
I really don’t understand why group day is an integral part of this competition. It’s not American Pop Band, it’s American Idol. As far as I can tell, it only exists to amuse the judges and to showcase drama from people that we’re never going to hear from ever again. That being said, here’s my take:
