And so it goes…

Well, he left last night. Gone till Tuesday. The kids were upset as they’ve never really been away from him for any length of time, except for the trip to NY last winter. Travis needed a little extra convincing that Daddy would be back on Tuesday. Never underestimate what kids know and feel.

I was a little jumpy last night, I tend to get spooked at night anyway and living out here in the middle of nowhere fuels that particular delusion. I’m sure I’ll be fine once I get used to it.

Today we’re just hanging around, tomorrow I promised the kids we’d have a movie party. We’re going to rent The Princess Bride (My name is Inigo Montoya - Prepare to die!) I just love that movie and I’m pretty sure the kids will too.

B’Bye

We’re getting Jimmy packed and ready to go. He’s leaving tomorrow night between 5 and 9 - the guy he’s driving up with hasn’t quite solidified his plans.

Update! The guy called and Jim’s leaving tomorrow evening. I’ve been helping him pack and I swear I can’t wait! I know, it’s horrible to say, but if you had been around here for the last 6 months or so, you’d know how good this whole situation is.

I am going to have the most relaxing weekend with the kids and after they go to bed, I am truly going to enjoy myself.

He Took the Job

He’ll be starting next weekend, it looks like.
Leaving on Wednesday or Thursday, coming back Monday or Tuesday.

I swear this might be the thing that saves us.
