Once again, it’s time to play “Get the Pool Clear”! It was clear on Thursday till the afternoon when we had what we refer to here in Central Florida as a pollen storm. Seriously, it was raining pollen. I haven’t had a clear breath through this nose in weeks!
The landlords were here today to fix the seal on the master bath commode. While they were here they got to see, first hand, the spectacular afternoon show. Little bits of yellow and green flying off the tree and diving directly into the pool. Quite a show. The pool turned green in one afternoon. It’s not algae, it’s definitely pollen and I’m glad they were here to see it. They’ll be a guy here to cut back the tree this week. Yay!
So, the pool is free of leaves and debris for the moment, Jim’s bringing home a mega-dose of chlorine and I swear by all that is holy, I’m going swimming tomorrow.
Is it just me???

Everytime I think about the men and women fighting for my right to speak my mind, even when I’m making an ass of myself, I am humbled.

1. If you had the chance to meet someone you’ve never met, from the past or present, who would it be?
That would have to be my father’s mother. She died when he was 12 and I’ve been told that I look and act a lot like her. I would love to meet her.
2. If you had to live in a different century, past or future, which would it be?
Hmm… Tough one… I guess I’d like to live in the future, but I don’t know when.
And the past tugs at me as well. the 17th century, Europe. But I think the lack of plumbing would be too much for me to handle.
3. If you had to move anywhere else on Earth, where would it be?
There are so many choices here… I don’t think I’d want to live anywhere besides America… I think New Mexico or California…
4. If you had to be a fictional character, who would it be?
Claire Beauchamp Frasier of the Outlander series
5. If you had to live with having someone else’s face as your own for the rest of your life, whose would it be? Lauren Bacall. She’s still beautiful, so at any age I’d be pleased to see her face in my mirror.

I spent the better part of the last year and a half growing my bangs out. I figured that it was time to let go of all the layers and make one last ditch effort at being chic.
I suck at chic. I went today and got all the layers put back in and cut the front quite a bit. My hair is far too thick, course, curly, heavy to be all one length.
I feel better already.
